Google Opens Internet Stat Center
Google has quietly opened up a new resource that aggregates Internet statistics across five vectors: consumer trends, macro economic trends, media consumption, media landscape and technology. The site is hosted on the Google.co.uk domain but the statistics are global.
The data on the site is pulled from a variety of sources that includes BusinessWeek, Comscore, eMarketer, HarvardBusiness.org, Hitwise, IAB, Nielsen, and others. The database is searchable as well and anyone can submit a statistic here. (via delicious)

It's kind of light on content right now; is it relying on user submissions (and does that have the potential to dilute the quality of the information found there), or is it pulling from some sort of algorithmic component?Very useful, one hopes, as soon as there's more Stuff in there...
I'd like to find out the statistic on what percentage of users use the 'Im feeling Lucky' button on Google itself :)
I was able to turn that page into a widget which you can embed. I even think that that was their original plan. The embed is called "Killer Stats Widget". Get the code here: http://thenextweb.com/2009/09/17/google-killer-stats-widget/
Wow, I've just came across you page by accident and most pleased I did.I was not aware of this resource from Google, I'm now just building a small app to fetch this and add some of the data to our sites. This will be similar to the other post, where they created an embed, but will be static within our site framework.Sort of like a 'Did you know...' box within the structure. Many thanks
