The ComScore article on widgets reminded me of interesting development: Facebook recently open its once-exclusive site up to any developer with an interesting app and Mozilla continues to offer more and more add-ons for browsers. Internet Explorer, however, offers very little (or at least makes it hard to find) in terms of easily downloadable add-ons. As web users, we are now use to bite-sized, easily accessible buttons that link us to our content at other sites and I wonder why Internet Explorer has not caught on to this trend.
