Another Way to Measure a Blog's Profile

Google Blogoscoped points to a fun tool called Blog Juice. It cross-references data from Technorati, Alexa, plus Bloglines and more to come up with a score for each blog. It then benchmarks this score against others in the database. Gizmodo tops the list with a 9.8 on the Blog Juice scale. I came in at 8.4.

Weird, I came in as 4.1 as well.

Wouldn't that be funny if they just gave everyone a 4.1?

What a coincidence!

(grin)

3 totally different blogs I submitted all had a 4.1 as well...

Completely random urls will come up as a 4.1

It must suck to have less than 4.1

I've been thinking about tapping one of the rating tools as a measure of mindshare value for MyMindshare.com (http://mymindshare.com). So far, it looks like Technorati is the most valid.

It would be interesting to see how a blogger's mindshare value would correlate with their Technorati rank.

Hey - now you're an 8.4. What happened?

we got 4.2

But Steve, this can't measure your blog's value---it's off the charts.

If you like to measure your potential, come and give a look at www.frimr.com. You can get a badge for your blog, compare to those with similar profile, subscribe to your score RSS feed, and much more.

And it's good for your Karma ;)
