The Digital Decade in Stats
Josh Bernoff What you can learn from consumers' digital decade, reminding us that...
"As I look back on all this from the perspective of media and marketing, it's clear that consumer lead, media stumbles along behind, and marketers follow along behind."
Some stats of Josh compiled:
- Broadband homes: 2.6 million (2000), 80 million (2010)
- HDTV: virtually zero (2000) to 51 million (2010)
- Mobile phones: 51 million adults (2000) to 270 million (2010)

Steve while you autopost from posterous, why i see that this post was sent from google? and how does it have a google shortener?
@Stellos I have this all connected via Feedburner. I have it configured to automatically post into Twitter whenever I post. You can find out more here - http://www.labnol.org/internet/send-feedburner-feed-to-twitter/11694/
Yeah, but what is it the point of configuring it when you use posterous and it's autoposting system to Twitter and the other social networks?
@Stellos I have Posterous auto-posting to Twitter turned off - just Facebook. You can trigger these with email address commands, which are described here http://posterous.com/help/email_tips. So the way I have it set up, the posts are syndicated into each social network only once.
Correct me if i am wrong, but the only problem with posterous autoposting is the friendfeed bouble posting ,one it's own and one on twitter . If it wasn't for this ,there would be no reason for you to turn twitter autoposting off ,correct?
I believe so, yes.
But since Friendfeed is not used so much anymore -i would not mind autoposting there twice .Anyway,i really like your mentality towards gmail use and lifestream.
