Streams from the Road: I Believe the Children are our Future

In this episode, which lasts about five minutes, I discuss how to get your CEO on board with the need to engage in social media. Also, I cover two new gizmos that help me travel easier - inflight wifi and my turn by turn navigation app for the iPhone.

Good idea to involve the grandchildren. That can really tie in social media into their mind/world.

Steve, I may not comment frequently but highly value following your lifestream "experiment"… please keep it up… and thank you.

Steve...The grandchildren approach could work if you are employed within the corporation. But, what about if you are a vendor or agency servicing the company, so your relationship is not that intimate that you would have access to a CEO/grandchild encounter? Also, what ideas would you put out there for if you are pitching a CEO and their firm who simply do not see the value of social media?Regarding the phone displacing the laptop part of your podcast....I can actually see the netbook becoming the new default appliance possibly even more so than the phone for the business traveller as it has a larger screen and keyboard. Consuming content on a phone sized unit such as one's e-mails and other content delived on mobile apps works well, but it is the responding effort that I find is still quite difficult on a phone, especially one without a physical QWERTY keyboard - such as the iPhone.
