How to Bring Back the Old Facebook Feed

On Facebook a lot of my friends are lamenting last week's switch to the new new news feed. (It's now split: the news feed shows trends from friends while the live feed is real-time.) Personally, I like the change. You can pick one. You're not forced.

Still, if you want the old Facebook back, you can get it- sorta - via this tip which a friend left on my wall...

"To get the "old facebook" back. On your main screen, on your left hand side click 'more' then click and drag 'status update' to the top of the list. Then refresh your page and it should be back to normal."

Easy enough.

So if you are like me and you just have to have easy access to your Friends' Status Updates instead of the crap in the News Feed, here are several steps to make that happen. If you are already using your "Contact Information" "Website" area under the INFO tab, it's not ideal.Click on the Home Page after you are logged in.On the Left Navigation Pane, click "Friends"Under Friends, click "Status Updates"Right click on "Status Updates"Select "Copy Link Location"Click on your "Profile" pageClick on your "Info" tabClick on "Edit Information"Under the "Contact Information" section, click in the "Website" text box.Right Click in the text boxSelect "Paste" Click "Save Changes"Now, you have added the "Status Updates" to your Info. You now have to make sure "Website" is something you see on your profile page.On the Left-Hand side under Information, click the pencil icon.Make sure there is a "check mark" beside Website.Refresh your screen and click the link. This works for me, so hopefully it works for you. If you already have a website listed, then you'll just need to continuously need to Click "Friends" from the HomepageUnder Friends, click "Status Updates"I'm more of a 1 click person!!!

I don’t know if this method will work anymore. I’ve found one that seems to have done the trick: go tohttp://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/group.php?gid=355200016040 for alink to the tutorial. you have to fill out a quick ad first but itworks… did for me anyways.
